Coffee

Workshop

Our stunning family ranch is a sanctuary of local, seasonal, and organic food and a great place to relax and learn about Peruvian artisanal coffee. We invite you to be our guest - the ranch is surrounded by majestic mountains of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you’ll have a chance to tour our organic vegetable garden, and say hello to the horses. During the workshop, you can enjoy the views of native plants while hummingbirds are fluttering their wings just under the window.

Whether you’re a coffee aficionado, or simply love your morning cup of joe, this workshop will take your knowledge and appreciation of this fine beverage to the next level…. Using the best local beans and the traditional artisanal process for roasting and grinding - we’ll help you create an exquisite cup of coffee.

We use only fair-trade organic coffee that grows throughout the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the farms north of the ranch. Peru is the world’s fifth-largest producer of Arabica beans, so we know a thing or two about coffee here, and what’s special about this region is that most farms here don’t use pesticides or chemical fertilizers, allowing the Sacred Valley to produce delicious artisanal organic coffee.

Our local coffee expert, Abraham, grew up growing and making coffee in the Peruvian Amazon jungle and is knowledgeable about the origins and characteristics of the precious beans we are using. With Abraham guiding you along, you will be part of the whole process, you’ll prepare the beans, roast them to perfection, get insights into the way locals prepare it, and compare several different preparations, and of course, enjoy a few delicious cups.
