Salineras Ride
We will start the ride by going up an ancient, steep path for 30 minutes with a stunning view over 4000 salt ponds: the legendary Salineras salt mines. As our horses are unable to stop here, our guide will explain everything about this site from the unique perspective of our saddles.
Next, we will see the beautiful water spring, called by the locals "El Ojo de Agua".
Our return will be along the same trail back to our ranch, providing a second opportunity to see the wonderful salt ponds. Back at the ranch, we’ll have snacks and beverages waiting for you.
Experience special moments on horseback, taking in a treasure of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, along with meeting the locals. This is an off-the beaten path adventure. Our bilingual guides are locals, extremely knowledgeable about the area and dedicated to your experience. Our horses are also exceptional: well trained and cared for specimens of the Peruvian Paso breed.
The ride starts at the Salineras Ranch, located just outside the town of Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley. Here you will receive horseback riding and safety instructions and have the opportunity to get to know your horse.
