The Location
We offer a private transportation service to and from our Ranch and recommend this option for the most comfortable and efficient journey! Our community is only accessible over the Pinchingoto bridge, which other drivers can only access during hours of operation. With our drivers you are guaranteed to be dropped off at our door and will not have to pay the entrance fee to the Pichingoto community.
The Ranch is located close to the city of Urubamba in the Sacred Valley. This is approximately 1 hours drive from Cusco. Our small village, Pichingoto, consists of 60 families, many of whom live across from the ranch. At an altitude of 2,720 meters above sea level, we are considerably lower than the city of Cusco and offer an ideal location for acclimatizing in the Andes.

Directions to Salineras Ranch
Although we recommend our transportation service, it is of course possible to reach the Ranch via public transport, taxi or on foot.
From Cusco:
-
Take a taxi or walk, depending on your location, to PAVITOS STREET street in CUSCO.

Here you will find a transportation service to URUBAMBA (a minibus which carries 12 or so passengers). Fees should range between 8 to 10 soles. Take the colectivo (mini van).

Get off at the last stop, the main petrol station Pecsa in Urubamba ("grifo").

Get on a mototaxi (a 3 wheel small vehicle) and tell the driver to get you to Pichingoto community. You can obviously take a regular taxi, which will be more comfortable but also more expensive than a moto taxi.

You can tell the driver to get you to the Ranch, which is located at the end of the Pichingoto "main road", to the right.

You can also take the colectivo to Yanahuara, but ask to get off at Tunupa Restaurant or the Pichingoto puente.

From the main road follow a minor dirt road (at the crossroad there is a sign showing the direction to Pichingoto)

Continue walking along the road, later turning right, then left and again right until you reach the bridge.

Cross the bridge - now you are already in the community of Pichingoto

After crossing the bridge turn right, and continue the Pichingoto "main road" until you see the Ranch, on the right side of the road.
